1.8 AE ACCURACY ADJUSTMENT

URPOSE:
To adjust the gain and output level of the SPC sensor
STANDARD
:

EF-8000/5000, AE sensor
EF 50 mm f/1.8 lens

REPARATIONS:
1) Start the adjustment software, connect the camera to the HS-I/F, and select [F2] AE
Adjustment menu in the MAIN MENU.
2) Mount the EF 50 mm f/1.8 lens on the camera, then position the camera facing the
light source of the EF-8000/5000. Shield the camera’s eyepiece so that it is not
affected by external light.

• Before carrying out this adjustment, the AE temperature compensation
must already have been carried out.
This adjustment doubles as the E-TTL basic metering adjustment, so
check E-TTL accuracy after adjustment.
