Engine Oil
• Always stop engine before servicing.
• Allow engine to cool off before servicing. Engine is very hot after operation and
may pose a burn hazard.
• Keep re and spark away when handling fuel.
1. Park machine on a level ground.
2. Remove oil ller cap.
3. Follow the instructions in "Operator's
Manual for the Engine" to check oil.
4. Screw oil ller cap rmly back in place.
• Dispose of drained oil properly.
• Make certain to fill engine with correct grade of oil to the specified level.
Insufcient amount or wrong grade of oil reduces performance and may cause
permanent damage to engine.
Inspecting
• To obtain correct reading, check oil level before starting, or wait about 10 minutes
after stopping engine to allow oil to drain back to oil pan. Circulating oil stays in
various parts of engine right after stopping.
• Always check oil level on a level ground.
• Recommended Oil and Quantity: see "List of Fluids and Lubricants" (page 32)
