Faulty serial connection to the local supervisor:
Check
a. the presence of the serial board, code MNEWRS4220;
b. the identification number of Macroplus;
c. the codes of the serial cables;
d. the serial cables: They must be connected according to CAREL's diagrams (shown in the
serial line guide);
e. the cables'connector: It might be disconnected.
Faulty connection to remote supervisor:
Verify
a. that the Gateway (if present) and the Modems are powered;
b. that the connected Modem corresponds to the models listed on Carels' price-list.
Otherwise contact Carel's personnel;
c. the connection of the serial board RS232 (code MNEWRS232C) (if present);
d. the programming of the Gateway (if present);
e. that the telephone number selected on Macroplus corresponds to the supervisory computer
number (in this case the board code MNEWRS232C will be used).
Faulty local connections (eg. PC or printer):
Verify
that power supply G0 of the controller is not earthed. If G0 comes from the interface board
and the board presents any common earth signals, place an insulating transformer between
interface and controller or bring 24 Vac from a transformer with secondary insulated from
earth.
