5.2 Details about the office function
Before the office function can be used, it must be set up by the administrator with the OMEGA
Client software (see "Office function" on page28).
The office function enables locking devices to be placed into office mode by locking media. In office mode,
locking devices are released for a specified period of time; during this time the door can also be opened
without a locking medium. Once the time period has elapsed, the locking device automatically reverts to
normal mode. In V-NET, office mode is not limited by time; a locking device remains coupled until office
mode is deactivated again by the locking medium.
Example: You can activate office mode Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. If you have activated the
office function, it automatically reverts back to normal mode after 5pm, i.e. authorised locking media
must then be used to open the door.
