10 Error signals
Signal Cause Solution
After reading a master medium:
1x long red Master media error:
a) The master medium has not been authorised yet. a) Authorise the master medium.
b) For master media that control opening
modes:An opening mode with a higher priority is
active (see "Hierarchy of opening modes" on
page38).
b) Deactivate the opening mode with the
higher priority.
c) The master medium cannot be read owing to the
locking device variant (e.g. Program-Master on V-
NET devices).
c) Check whether the master medium can be
used with this locking device type.
After reading a master medium or locking medium:
4x short red 1. The medium is not authorised for this device.
or
1. Authorise the media for this device
or
2. The medium could not be read completely
because
a) it was not held in the reading field long enough. 2a) Hold the medium in the reading field of
the locking device for a longer period.
b) The master medium or the V-NET locking
medium has the wrong system number.
2b) Use a master medium or V-NET locking
medium with the right system number.
c) A LINE locking medium was held in the reading
field of a V-NET device.
2c) LINE locking media cannot be read by V-
NET devices.
After reading authorised or unauthorised locking media, additionally:
1x long red
Up to firmware version
3.4.x also:
2x long red
or
3x long red
The battery warning indicates that the batteries will
soon be exhausted (see "Battery management" on
page41).
Replace the batteries (see "Battery
management" on page41).
