5.2.1 Activating office mode

Locking medium that is authorised for the office function

Locking device with office function
Procedure:
Steps Signal
1. Hold a locking medium authorised for the office function in the reading field of the
locking device.
The locking medium is read and accepted. 1x short green
2. Continue to hold the locking medium in the reading field of the locking device (for approx.
2 seconds).
Office mode is activated. 1x short green,
1x long green
Office mode is now active. The door can now be opened without locking media until the end
of office hours. LINE locking devices automatically disengage again at the end time set in
OMEGA Client.
In V-NET there is no end time when the locking device automatically disengages. Therefore, office mode on V-NET
locking devices must be deactivated using an authorised locking medium.
Troubleshooting:
Problem Cause Solution
No signal after approx. 2
seconds. Office mode is
not activated. The
locking device engages,
but then disengages
again at the end of the
opening duration.
No office function has been set up for
this locking device.
Have the office function set up for the locking device by
the system administrator.
The office function is not currently
available.
Ask the system administrator when the office function can
be activated in this locking device.
This locking medium is not authorised
for the office function.
Have the locking medium authorised for the office
function by the system administrator.
