What to do if liquid is coming out of the dosing head of my CHART ULTRADOSER 2K Medical Equipment, even when the valve is closed?
    • A
      Ashlee DavisAug 9, 2025
If liquid continues to flow from the dosing head of your CHART Medical Equipment despite the valve being closed, the LN supply pressure might be too high; try reducing it. Alternatively, the valve seat could be contaminated with ice or particles, requiring the unit to be drained of LN and the dosing valve assembly cleaned. Also, ensure the air supplied to the solenoid is not reversed; if it is, reverse the LN lines that supply and vent to the solenoid.

Why is the safety relief valve venting on my CHART ULTRADOSER 2K Medical Equipment?
    • J
      Julie CrossAug 14, 2025
The safety relief valve on your CHART Medical Equipment might be venting because the LN supply pressure is greater than 50 psi (3.44 bar). Check the LN supply pressure and reduce it if it exceeds this level. Note that a dewar can be vented to reduce the pressure. Alternatively, the UltraDoser unit vent may be obstructed. If so, clear the obstruction. If the vent is obstructed with ice, contact Chart’s service team at +1 408.371.4932.

What to do if my CHART Medical Equipment shows a dosing valve fault error on the 2K Controller?
    • P
      petersonlisaAug 19, 2025
If the 2K Controller of your CHART Medical Equipment displays a dosing valve fault error, the dosing valve assembly might not be moving. Ensure that the pneumatic pressure is approximately 60-70 psi (4.13-4.82 bar) for the dosing valve to function correctly.

What to do if liquid is coming out of the vent of my CHART ULTRADOSER 2K Medical Equipment?

      Charles JohnsonAug 25, 2025
If liquid is coming out of the vent of your CHART Medical Equipment, it could be due to high LN supply pressure. Lower the LN supply pressure to 22 psi (1.5 bar) or lower. Another possible cause is ice developed inside the unit, causing the internal float valve to malfunction. In this case, the UltraDoser unit must be drained of liquid and allowed to warm up over a minimum of 24 hours with a continuous purge of warm nitrogen gas. Contact Chart’s service team at +1 408.371.4932 for a detailed procedure.

What to do if my CHART ULTRADOSER 2K Medical Equipment shows a speed sensor fault error on the 2K Controller?
    • M
      Mikayla HardyAug 30, 2025
If the 2K Controller of your CHART Medical Equipment displays a speed sensor fault error, check the speed sensor (or encoder) connections, as the speed sensor (or encoder) may have been dislodged. If the connections are secure, the speed sensor (or encoder) may have malfunctioned and need to be replaced.

How to fix no liquid coming from the dosing head of my CHART ULTRADOSER 2K?
    • J
      Justin JohnsonSep 3, 2025
If no liquid is coming from the dosing head of your CHART Medical Equipment, consider the following: * Check the level of LN; if it's low or empty, open the supply valve. * Ensure the unit is enabled by pulling out the Dose Enable switch (the switch should not be lighted). * If the nozzle is frozen, run Quick Service to thaw it, then remove, clean, and reinstall the nozzle. * Verify the bottle detect sensor is correctly positioned to detect points and check sensor connections; replace the sensor if necessary. * Confirm the speed sensor/encoder is functioning correctly and sending a signal to the 2K controller.
