Installing the Chassis into a Rack
Perform the following steps to install the CDE420, and CDE460 chassis into the rack:
Step 1 Confirm that the chassis includes the inner rails and rail extensions. Also, confirm that the outer rails are
installed on the rack (see Figure 3-16).
Step 2 Align chassis rails with the front of the rack rails.
Step 3 Slide the chassis rails into the rack rails, keeping the pressure even on both sides (you may have to
depress the locking tabs when inserting the chassis rails). When the CDE has been pushed completely
into the rack, you should hear the locking tabs click.
Step 4 (Optional) Insert and tighten the thumbscrews that hold the front of the CDE to the rack.
