Cisco 220 Series Smart Switches Administration Guide Release 1.1.0.x 233
Access Control
The Access Control List (ACL) feature is part of the security functions. ACL
definitions serve as one of the functions to define traffic flows that are given a
specific quality of service (QoS). For more information see the Quality of Service
chapter.
ACLs enable network managers to define patterns (filter and actions) for ingress
traffic. Packets, entering the switch on a port or LAG with an active ACL, are either
admitted or denied entry.
This chapter includes the following topics:
Access Control Lists
Configuring MAC-based ACLs
Configuring MAC-based ACEs
Configuring IPv4-based ACLs
Configuring IPv4-Based ACEs
Configuring IPv6-based ACLs
Configuring IPv6-based ACEs
Configuring ACL Binding
