12. DIRECTIONS FOR USING
Measurement of moisture by means of moisture balance is much
faster and simplier in comparison to traditional proces (weighing - drying -
weighing - counting). This measurement needs individual choice of
parameters:
Temperature of drying
- Mass of sample
- Time of testing sample
It’s recomended to reject first result. This result may have additional errors
because of heat stabilization of drying chamber and scale. Tested sample
should be arrangement steady on all surface of scale. Coarse-grained
substances should be disintegrated before measurement. Time of testing
should be short for substances that emit moisture easily. For substances
that emit moisture slowly time should be settled experimental. For
substances that cover themselves with impenetrable membrane using
indirect materials as sand or blotting-paper during drying is recomended.
