Close Chest Clip and position at arm pit level as
shown in Figure 21.
Checklist for securing child:
√ Newborn Support System is being used if child weighs 11 lb (5 kg) or less
and if top of shoulders are below lowest Shoulder Harness Slots.
√ Child is NOT slouching and Shoulder Harness Straps go over the child’s
shoulders and hips.
√ The top of the child’s head is at least 1 in. (2.5 cm) below the top of the
Carrier Seat Back.
√ Shoulder Harness Straps are through Shoulder Harness Slots at or below
and closest to the top of the child’s shoulders.
√ Harness is buckled and snugly adjusted on child.
√ Chest Clip is closed and is adjusted to arm pit level.
