Crystal oven
The crystal oven (E1) on the Rx/Exciter PCB [108-04962 and 08-05322] is
attached to the reference crystal Z3. The oven should be checked after allowing a
five minute warm up period. The temperature operates between 55°C and 65°C
and is not adjustable. Replace the crystal oven if the results are outside the
specified limits.
The high stability oven operates at a temperature of 65°C ±5°C. If measured
externally, it will indicate approximately 5°C lower than the operating
temperature. The oven is not adjustable and should be replaced if found to be
faulty.
