12. RIDING
CAUTION
If your ATV becomes immersed, take it to your dealer
before starting the engine. Major engine damage can
result if the machine is not thoroughly inspected.
If it is impossible to take it to a dealer before starting, follow thee
steps outlined below.
l Move the ATV to dry land or at the very least, to water depth
not more than 8 inch (200mm).
l Turn the fuel valve to ―OFF‖.
l Remove the spark plug.
l Loosen the carburetor drain screw (1)
l Turn the engine over several
times with electric start.
l Dry the spark plug and reinstall
or replace with a new plug.
l Tighten the carburetor drain
screw(1)
l Turn the fuel valve to ―ON‖.
l Attempt to start the engine. If
necessary repeat the ―drying‖
procedure.
l Take the machine to your dealer for service as soon as
possible whether you succeed in starting it or not.
If water has been ingested into the CAT system, take the ATV to
your dealer for service as soon as possible
