15. EXHAUST SYSTEM
SYSTEM REGULATION
TAMPERING WITH NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM PROHIBITED!
CAUTION: Exhaust system components are very hot during and
after use of ATV.
l Do not tough exhaust system components. Serious burns can
result.
l Be especially careful when traveling through tall grass. The
potential for fire exists
Spark Arrestor
The exhaust pipe must be periodically purged of accumulated
carbon as follows:
1. Remove the arrestor screw located on the bottom of the
muffler, pull out the arrestor (the mesh) .
2. Clean the arrestor or replace it.
WARNING
When cleaning the spark arrestor, you must follow the safe
guards listed below to avoid serious injury.
l Do not perform this operation immediately after the engine
has been run because the exhaust system becomes very hot.
l Keep combustible materials away from exhaust system. Fire
may result.
