12.4 Begin Commissioning
12.4.1 Before Operating t
he Heater
To ensur
e that all the controls are in safe working
order, operate the heater for the first time with the
isolating gas valve turned off.
1. Tur
n off the gas isolating valve
2. Using the installed external control, tur
n on the
burner. The automatic sequence will now begin
as described on Page 26, Figure 11.
There wi
ll be no ignition of the burner and lockout
will occur, which proves the controls are operating
correctly.

NOTE: If the heater operates for more than 24 hours continuously, the ignition module will automatically recycle the
burner to ensure that all safety functions are still in working condition.
