If you wish, you can instead install the G2 perpendicular to the vessel’s fore-aft
centerline, i.e., on or parallel to the athwartships centerline. In this orientation, the
G2 can output both the Heading and the Roll of the vessel.

The heading from a GPS mounted as in Figure 8 and that from a GPS mounted as in
Figure 7 have 90° difference. This can be compensated by the parameter of heading
bias. Heading bias value is adjusted through proprietary sentence. At factory default, G2
