1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. Safety instructions
CDMRE-100 is a voltage and frequency monitoring relay for mains and system protection (GS protec-
tion). It is intended for disconnecting the feeding generators and systems (e.g.: heating power, wind
power, hydroelectric power and photovoltaic systems) in case of impermissible voltage and frequency
values, mains-side faults or power failures from the public supply mains using a coupling switch.
CDMRE-100 is equipped with a separate auxiliary voltage input.
Only expert electricians may install and commission the device. An expert electrician can identify and
avoid possible dangers independently on the basis of his/her technical training, knowledge and expe-
rience. The expert electrician is specially trained for the working environment in which he/she works
and knows the relevant standards and regulations.
CDMRE-100 is built according to the latest technological advancements and the recognized safety reg-
ulations. Nevertheless, improper use may result in danger for the user, third parties or devices and
material assets.
In order to maintain the functional safety of the GS protection, the feedback contacts of the two con-
tactors must be monitored by CDMRE-100 (see wiring example on page 25). The feedback contacts can
be designed as NC contacts as well as NO contacts. The respective version can be parameterized in the
"General 1" menu of CDMRE-100.
