1.2. Description of the device
The CDMRE-100 digital mains monitoring relay is equipped with 10 monitoring functions:
U> ..... overvoltage stage 1
f> ..... overfrequency stage 1
U>> ..... overvoltage stage 2
f>> ..... overfrequency stage 2
U< ..... undervoltage stage 1
f< ..... underfrequency stage 1
U<< ..... undervoltage stage 2
f<< ..... underfrequency stage 2
U10> .... 10-minute average overvoltage
The monitoring functions can be individually enabled and can also be extended using the following
settings:
Blocking time (t-blocking)
Feedback contacts of the circuit breakers (auxiliary contacts)
Frequency/voltage switching logic (fU logic)
Isolated mains detection with outer conductor voltage (INE-LL)
Phase sequence monitoring (P-sequence)
For explanation of individual functions, see section 3 MENU NAVIGATION AND SETTINGS.
CDMRE-100 has a redundant design that serves in the protection of machines and personnel. Two
processors simultaneously measure and calculate the measured values and monitor each other. In the
event of an error or inconsistencies in the measured values, they report a fault to relays K1 and K2.
Furthermore, inputs are available for the auxiliary contacts of circuit breakers, which monitor the func-
tion of the circuit breakers as well as a configurable blockade input.
The event log provides space for 100 error messages with a time stamp. Parameter changes are also
stored in the event log.
A code lock with a 4-digit code can be activated as protection against unauthorized changes to the
settings. This code is requested before each parameter change.
