Built-In Devices Security Features
Configuration Option Description or Function
Power-On Password Allows you to enable power-on password.
Allows you to specify prompting for power-on password.
Allows you to enable Network Server Mode, which allows for restarting of computer
from hard drive or network when the keyboard is disabled.
QuickLock/QuickBlank Allows you to enable QuickLock/QuickBlank.
(To maintain the security of QuickLock/QuickBlank, you must also disable the USB
ports.)
Setup Password Allows you to enable setup (administrator) password, controlling access to the
computer.
USB Allows you to disable USB ports.

Establishing a Password in Windows 95
To establish a password in Windows 95, complete the following steps:
1. Click the My Computer icon.
2. Click the Control Panel folder.
3. Double-click the Passwords icon and follow the instructions to set a new password.
