4. Pump Mode Overview (Continuous vs. Interval)
The Compat Ella
®
portable enteral feeding pump has two operational modes: Continuous and Interval.
Continuous Mode
Continuous mode is used to deliver tube feed at defined rates, with or without a volume limit.
Interval Mode
Interval mode allows a defined bolus to be delivered multiple times during the day at programmed intervals, with or without a total volume limit. An Interval
is the time from the start of one bolus to the start of the next bolus.
Switch Between Continuous and Interval Modes

To change between operating modes, press and hold
for 5 seconds (5”).
A specific icon
shows that Interval mode is activated.
A message will appear confirming activation or de-activation.
