The SDM-8400 DC has the following characteristics:
• DC power connector
• Voltage: -48VDC
• Current: 1 Amp maximum
Powering with AC
The SDM-8400 UAC unit has a power auto-sensing feature that accepts AC power from
90 VAC to 264VAC. There is an inline 1A slow-blow fuse. Plug the AC power cord into
an AC outlet.
NOTE: For information about the factory-supplied power cable and connection to the
power source, turn to “Connecting the SDM-8400 UAC to an AC Power
Source” on page 3-5.
• AC power inlet (IEC 320)
• Voltage: Autosensing 100-240 VAC
• Frequency: 50/60 Hz
• Current: 0.7 A at 100 V and 0.4 A at 240 V
• Maximum power consumption: 16 Watts (55 BTU/hour)
• Removable power cord (North American or Schuko European type).
NOTE: There is no power switch. Remove the power cord to turn the unit off.
Warning
Please refer to Chapter Safety Warnings and Precautions addressing
the SDM-8400 DC when connecting the power connector to the
equipment.
Warning
Do not remove the cover of the SDM-8400. The SDM-8400 unit
contains no user-serviceable parts. Only a qualified technician
approved by Memotec is authorized to open the unit.
