      If the label sensor needs setup, refer to the label sensor setup in the “Label Setup” display section of this manual. Ensure the label sensor is positioned over the label path. If the label sensor or fiber cable is damaged, replace the label sensor. Inspect and correct if the nip roller is not engaged against the drive roller. Also, refer to the label length setup and label stop setup in the “Label Setup” display section of this manual if the label length or stop are set incorrectly.

    What to do if the CTM Label Maker label liner is breaking?

      First, check the label threading; refer to the threading diagram for correct threading. If the roll is bad, replace the label roll. Also replace the label roll if there are side nicks in the liner or a heavy die cut on the liner. Check the roller collars to ensure they line up with unwind, allowing a 1/64" clearance between the label stock and collar, and clean the peel edge surface if there is adhesive build-up. Finally, release the spring tension if the peel bar tension spring is too tight.

      Check for a blown fuse if the air blow vacuum fan isn't working. Replace the fans if there is an obstruction. Inspect for a clogged or defective venturi if the tamp doesn't have enough vacuum on the pad. For peel edge alignment, refer to the relevant section in the labeler setup.

      If the air blow has improper vacuum, mask off the unused holes on the inside of the vacuum box. For tamp improper vacuum, adjust the air pressure. Replace the label roll if there are adhesive strings on both the label and liner. For peel edge alignment, refer to the relevant section in the labeler setup. Examine and correct if there's incorrect extended air assist time. Refer to the air assist setup in the labeler setup section if the air assist tube is not aligned properly.

      Switch to low on the vacuum switch if there's too much vacuum from the air blow. If there is masking, remove it. If there is no air blast, increase the air blast time. Inspect and correct if there is an incorrect air jet pattern.

      Refer to the slip clutch adjustment in the maintenance section if the rewind slip clutch needs tensioning or replacing. Replace the rewind shaft assembly if the one-way clutch bearing isn't working. Replace the belt if it is broken.

      Inspect and correct if the nip roller is not engaged against the drive roller. Replace the belt if the drive belt is broken. If there is a lost key in the drive pulley, follow the procedure for slip clutch adjustment. When you get to step #6 and have removed the pulley going to the rewind, go ahead and remove the drive pulley. Replace the key and put it back together.

      Reconnect the display cable to the back of the applicator. If there is loss of 24 VDC, call a factory representative. Replace the cable if it is defective. Replace the display board if it is defective.
