Why is my CYBEX 525AT Fitness Equipment heart rate reading erratic?

An erratic or absent heart rate reading on your CYBEX fitness equipment can occur for several reasons: * The belt transmitter electrodes may not be wet enough. Wet the belt transmitter electrodes. * The belt transmitter electrodes may not be laying flat against the skin. Ensure they are. * The belt transmitter may need cleaning. Wash it with mild soap and water. * The belt transmitter may not be properly set up. To set it up, bring it within 1 foot of the console receiver initially. After the heart rate displays, the range extends to 3 feet. * The chest strap battery might be depleted. Contact Customer Support Services for instructions on how to have the chest strap replaced.
