values, if any, then start in idle. The sensing variables have no default value -- they must
be manually entered when a Flex controller is first initialized, or if the EEPROM values
become corrupted for some reason. Sensing variables are range checked before a
treatment is started, as well, to prevent treatment in dosimetry mode before the variables
have been corrected. Setting the dose to the max will bypass dosimetry mode and allow
treatments to be given in time-only mode.
29.2 Error Code E8yz: yz = address of first location with range error.
00=Requested Treatment Time
08=Error Tolerance
01=Delivered Treatment Time
09=Maximum ON UV Sensor Level
02=Requested Dosage Amount
0a=Minimum ON UV Sensor Level
03=Delivered Dosage Amount
0b=Maximum OFF UV Sensor Level
04=Lamp Seconds (MSB)
0c=Maximum ON Current Sensor Level
05=Lamp Seconds (LSB)
0d=Minimum ON Current Sensor Level
06=Soft Maximum Treatment Time
0e=Maximum OFF Current Sensor Level
07=Software Calibration Factor
0f=Hardware Gain Constant
For E8 errors, Contact the Daavlin Service Department to record the software version, check and
correct, as required, all variables in the maintenance menu, Sensor Variable Menu.
29.3 Sensing Errors
Sensor levels are checked during Treatment, Idle, and End of Treatment mode only -- not during
sleep, editing, in Maintenance Menu, or during treatment Hold. If the controller determines that
there is an error condition during a treatment, then it will put the treatment on hold, except
display EEXX, where XX is error code for the level that was determined to be out of range.
Operation of the controller in Error will be identical to Normal Hold, except displaying EEXX
instead of HOLD, including resuming the treatment. If the treatment is resumed, error checking
will reset warm-up time and error count to zero.
EE0O = Unknown sensor failure
If this error occurs, contact the Daavlin Service Department.
EEO2 = UV On level greater than maximum allowed value. The UV Sensor is reading a higher
output then the system will allow while the lamps are on.
If this error occurs, contact the Daavlin Service Department.
EE03 = UV On level lower than minimum allowed value. The UV Sensor is reading a lower
output than the system will allow while the lamps are on.
Check that the lamp in front of the sensor is on during treatment.
Verify that the sensor is clean, unobstructed, and centered in the hole in the reflector.
If this error re-occurs, contact the Daavlin Service Department.
EE04 = Sensor lockout condition (The controller cannot find the sensor)
