START (E)
The position "E" indicates "Start". In
order to start the engine, depress the
clutch pedal and turn the PTO switch
off. As soon as the engine is started,
release the key then the key will re-
turn to the position "D".
Preheat (A)
The position "A" indicates the "man-
ual preheat". This position is a self-
return type, so the key should be
held there while preheating. The pre-
heating function can be manually
activated if the automatic pre-heating
operation is not enough to start the
engine. Pre-heating more than 30
seconds consecutively can reduce
the preheat system’s life.
OFF (B)
When the key switch is in the posi-
tion "B," the engine and all electrical
devices in the vehicle are turned off.
However, asher lights and turn sig-
nal lights can be operated along with
their indication lamps on the dash
board.
ACC (C)
When the key switch is turned to
the position "C", brake lights, asher
lights and turn signal lights can be
operated.
ON (D)
The position "D" indicates the "ON "
position. As soon as the key switch
is turned to this position, the oil
pressure warning lamp and bat-
tery charge warning lamp come on.
(These turn off after the engine is
started)
The automatic preheating opera-
tion is informed by illumination of the
preheat indicator on the instrument
cluster. In cold weather, preheat the
engine sufciently until the preheat in-
dicator goes off. (Approx. 9 seconds)
