WINDOW GLASS BREAKING TOOL
This excavator is equipped with a glass breaking
tool. It is located behind the operator seat in the
upper r ight c orner of t he c ab. Thi s t ool c an b e
used i n c ase of a n em ergency si tuation whi ch
requires th e b reaking of gl ass to exit fr om th e
operator’s cabin. Grip the handle firmly and use
the sharp point to break the glass.
KEEP A FIRE EXTINGUISHER AT HAND
It i s r ecommended that an appropriately s ized
(2.27 kg [5 l b.] or la rger) multi-purpose "A/B/C"
fire extinguisher b e mounted in the c ab. Check
and s ervice the fi re extinguisher a t regular
intervals and m ake s ure that al l work-site crew
members are adequately trained in its use.
MAINTAIN STANDARD SAFETY EQUIPMENT IN GOOD CONDITION
Machinery guards and body panel covers must be in place at all times. Keep well clear of rotating parts.
Pinch point hazards such as cooling fan and alternator drive belts could catch hair, jewelry or oversize or
very loose clothing.

SAFETY-CRITICAL PARTS MUST BE REPLACED PERIODICALLY
Replace the following f ire-related components as so on as the y begin t o s how a ny s ign o f w ear, o r a t
regular periodic intervals, whether or not deterioration is visible:
• Fuel system flexible hoses, the tank overflow drain hose and the fuel fill cap.
• Hydraulic s ystem hoses, e specially t he pump outlet lines and fr ont a nd rear p ump b ranch
hoses.
• Keep mounting b rackets a nd h ose an d c able r outing s traps ti ght. Hos e r outing s hould ha ve
gradual bends.
