HYDRAULIC CYLINDER SEALS REQUIRE PERIODIC REPLACEMENT
Check c ylinder d rift r ate at r egular in tervals. M aximum allowable rates are i ncluded in the Specification
section in the Excavator Shop Manual. Overhaul seal kits are available through Daewoo.
HIGH PRESSURE HYDRAULIC LINES CAN STORE A GREAT DEAL OF ENERGY
Exposed hydraulic hoses on the arm or boom could react with explosive force if s truck by a falling rock,
overhead obstacle or other job site hazard.
Extra safety guards may be required.
NEVER allow hoses to be
hit, bent or in terfered with during ope ration. Al ways r eplace wit h same or greater b ursting pr essure for
protection.
THE OPERATOR’S CAB AND TURNTABLE DECK SHOULD BE KEPT CLEAN
Cleaning off accumulations of grease and dirt helps extend equipment service life. Cleaning also provides
an opportunity to in spect equipment. Minor damage can be repaired or corrected before major problems
result.
Keep the cab floor and consoles free of tools and personal items.
WEAR EYE PROTECTION AND SAFETY
CLOTHING
Full eye protection, a hard hat, safety shoes and
gloves may be required at the job site.
While wor king on th e m achine, n ever use
inadequate tools. T hey could br eak or slip,
causing in jury, o r t hey ma y not a dequately
perform intended functions.
BREATHING MASKS, EAR PROTECTION
MAY BE REQUIRED
Don’t forget that some risks to your health may
not be i mmediately apparent. E xhaust gases
and noise pollution may not be visible, but these
hazards c an ca use di sabling or p ermanent
injuries.
