10.15.4 EMC Compatibility
NOTICE
OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY
According to the EN 61800–3 standard for variable-speed drive systems, the operator is responsible for ensuring EMC
compliance. Manufacturers can oer solutions for operation conforming to the standard. Operators are responsible for
applying these solutions, and for paying the associated costs.
There are 2 options for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility.
•
Eliminate or minimize interference at the source of emitted interference.
•
Increase the immunity to interference in devices aected by its reception.
RFI
lters
The goal is to obtain systems that operate stably without radio frequency interference between components. To achieve a
high level of immunity, use drives with high-quality RFI lters.
NOTICE
RADIO INTERFERENCE
In a residential environment, this product can cause radio interference, in which case supplementary mitigation
measures may be required.
PELV and galvanic isolation compliance
All E1h–E4h drives control and relay terminals comply with PELV (excluding grounded Delta leg above 400 V).
Galvanic (ensured) isolation is obtained by fullling requirements for higher isolation and by providing the relevant
creepage/clearance distances. These requirements are described in the EN 61800–5–1 standard.
