Site Requirements
Set up and use the system in an environment that meets the following requirements.
Use single phase, 3-wire, grounded receptacles.
Place the system in a location that provides the following:
A sturdy, level surface. Avoid unstable locations.
A surface that is no taller than 27 inches (68.5 cm) in height to allow easy user access and
viewing of components. Refer to “System Dimensions” on page4 for more information.
Enough space to open all system access doors and to access power cords and data cables.
Refer to “Clearance Requirements” on page 5.
Enough space around the printer to allow for ventilation.
Select a location in an environment with temperatures ranging from 60° to 95°F (15° to 35°C).
Keep the system and its supplies away from direct sunlight.
Do not place the system near heating ducts, fans, or other air vents.
Place the system and its supplies in a clean office environment, keeping paper and foreign
materials off the equipment.
Keep all dust, dirt, food, and liquids away from the system.
Do not use the system for purposes other than the intended use.
