NOTE: In the event of system board replacement, the technician needs to run the RMA Shim. The RMA Shim USB
Key is dispatched with service replacement System Board. A tech sheet kitted with the RMA Shim USB Key contains
instructions to run the RMA Shim.
Installing system board
Steps
1. Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the system.
2. Replace the 3 screws to secure the system board to the system.
3. Align the system board bracket and snap the hook on the bracket to the retention tab in the system.
4. Place the system board bracket and replace the single screw to secure the bracket to the system.
5. Connect the eDP cable to the connector in the system board.
6. Affix the adhesive tape to secure the eDP cable to the system board.
7. Place the eDP bracket over the connector and replace the single screw to secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
8. Connect the following cables:
● EMR cable
● World facing camera cable
● Sensor board cable
9. Connect the speaker cable to the connector in the system board.
10. Connect the 2 Input/Output cable, touchpad cable and keyboard cable to the connectors on the system board.
11. Install the:
a. WLAN
b. battery
c. base cover
d. microSD card
12. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.

Steps
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

d. system board
2. To remove the world facing camera:
a. Remove the single (M2x2) screw that secures the world facing camera to the palmrest [1].
b. Lift the camera away from the system [2].
