• The PS-M4110 blade array is properly seated within the M1000e enclosure.
• The array's control modules and drives are properly seated within the PS-M4110 array drawer.
Troubleshooting Control Modules
1. Remove the PS-M1000e array from the chassis and verify that the connections to the M1000e are not
damaged. See Handling the Array on page 11.
2. Remove the control module from the array drawer and verify that the pins on the control module and the
backplane to which it connects are not bent or otherwise damaged. See Replacing a Control Module on page
39.
3. Reinstall the control module and wait for 30 seconds. See Replacing a Control Module on page 39.
4. Check the control module status LEDs. See Interpreting Control Module LEDs on page 37.
5. If the control module ACT LED is blinking amber (5 times per sequence), update the firmware to the latest
supported firmware on both control modules.

If the control module problem cannot be resolved, contact customer support as described in the Preface on page

Troubleshooting Array Drives
Check the hard drive indicators before removing a suspected faulty drive from the array. See Interpreting
Drive LEDs on page 28.
1. Remove the PS-M1000e array from the chassis and verify that the connections to the M1000e are not
damaged. See Handling the Array on page 11.
2. Remove the drive from the array. See Removing a Drive on page 30.
3. Check the drive to verify that the pins on the drive and the bottomplane to which it connects are not bent or
otherwise damaged.
If external damage is discovered, replace the defective part. Contact customer support for a replacement, as
described in the Preface on page vi
If the array drive problem is not resolved, contact customer support as described in the Preface on page vi
