Removing the I/O Board
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove:
a. battery
b. base cover
c. hard drive
d. keyboard trim
e. keyboard
f. palmrest
3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
a. Disconnect the I/O board cable from its connector on the system board [1] [2].
b. Remove the screws that secure the I/O board to the computer [3].
c. Remove the I/O board from the computer [4].
Installing the I/O Board
1. Insert the I/O board to its place on the computer.
2. Tighten the screws to secure the I/O board to the computer.
3. Connect the I/O board cable to its connector on the system board.
4. Install:
a. palmrest
b. keyboard
c. keyboard trim
d. hard drive
e. base cover
f. battery
5. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your computer.
Removing the Display-Hinge Cover
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove:
a. battery
b. base cover
