Removing the Display Assembly
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove:
a. battery
b. base cover
c. keyboard trim
d. keyboard
e. hard drive
f. palmrest
3. Release the WWAN and WLAN cables from their routing channels.
4. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
a. Release the screw to release the metal bracket that secures the display-assembly cable [1].
b. Remove the metal bracket to access the display-assembly cable [2].
c. Disconnect the display-assembly cables from their connectors on the system board [3] [4].
