Steps
NOTE: Step 1 to step 6 are applicable when installing the DDR5 thermal pad for the following memory configurations:
● 32 GB: 16 GB x 2
● 64 GB: 32 GB x 2
1. Peel back the backing of the DDR5 thermal pad halfway.
2. Position the DDR5 thermal pad over the DDR5 thermal pad area.
3. Align the DDR5 thermal pad over the DDR5 thermal pad area.
NOTE: Ensure the corners of the DDR5 thermal pad are aligned to the corners of the DDR5 thermal pad area.
4. Peel the rest of the backing off the DDR5 thermal pad and paste the DDR5 thermal pad onto the DDR5 thermal pad area.
5. Flatten the DDR5 thermal pad with a plastic scrapper to ensure proper adhesion.
6. Peel off the protective layer from the DDR5 thermal pad.
7. Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory-module slot (DIMM1 or DIMM2).
8. Press down on the memory module until the memory module snaps into position and the securing clips lock in place.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the memory module, hold the memory module by the edges. Do not touch
the components on the memory module.
NOTE: Repeat step 7 to step 8 when installing more than one memory module in your computer.
