Removing the system board
CAUTION: The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
3. Remove the coin-cell battery.
4. Remove the speaker.
5. Remove the M.2 2230 solid-state drive or M.2 2280 solid-state drive, whichever is applicable.
6. Remove the wireless card.
7. Remove the fan.
8. Remove the memory.
9. Remove the heat sink.
10. Remove the processor.
11. Remove the optional I/O module (HDMI/VGA/DP/Serial/PS2) or the optional Type-C module, whichever is applicable.
