5-3 Handling during operation
(1) Checking after startup
① Make sure that each meter and lamp are normal.
normal : warning lamp is all off
② Make sure that the color of exhaust gases from the engine is normal.
Check for unusual noise and vibration.
Color of exhaust gases
- Colorless or light blue: Normal
- Black: Abnormal, incomplete combustion
- White: Abnormal, combustion of oil due to failure of oil
(2) Adjustment during operation
Set the engine indicators and frequency meter to the rated by the speed regulator.
Set the voltmeter to the rated by the voltage regulator.

* Do not set the speed change-over switch in "START/IDLING" position or do not
decrease the speed by the speed change-over switch during operation of the load, or
else, the generator voltage and frequency will go down, resulting in failure in operation of
the load device or any other trouble.
