7. Troubleshooting
Like any equipment operating over long periods of time, technical issues may arise.
Table 6 lists the common technical issues, their causes and remedies.

Failure to heat or
only heats up to

No power
Check power source and/or oven and wall fuses.
Burned out heater(s)
Replace element (see warranty statement).
Control Instrument
malfunction
Check control parameters. Replace controller if
OUT LED on controller does not turn on.
Loose wire
connections
Disconnect power and check connections behind
control panel.
Slow heat up
Improperly loaded
workload
Reduce load or redistribute load in chamber.
Low line voltage
Supply sufficient power and proper connections.
Check for circuit overload.
1 or 2 heating
elements burned out
Check heater amperage on the nameplate.
Replace burned out element (see warranty
statement, back page).
Vent is wide open.
Close vent.
Fan motor failure
Replace fan motor.
Frequent heater
element burnout
Harmful fumes
generated by load
Increase vent opening or discontinue process.
Spillage or splattering
of material on heater
elements
Disconnect power and clean oven chamber and
elements.
Overheating oven
Check the Control and Hi-Limit instruments.
Fan motor failure
Replace fan motor.

Reposition fan wheel within 3/10” from top of
housing. Replace fan wheel.

vibration
Dirty fan wheel
Clean fan.
Unbalanced fan wheel
Replace fan wheel.
Grinding noise
Fan wheel has shifted
or fallen.
Inspect the wheel. Reposition fan wheel within
0.25” from top of housing.
