To scrub while adding to the end of a selection:
 Hold the Ctrl/Win+Shift (add)+Opt/Alt (all)
Modifier switches while scrubbing the end of
the selection.
To scrub with fine resolution while adding to the
front of a selection:
 Hold the Ctrl/Win+Shift (add)+Com-
mand/Ctrl Modifier switches while scrubbing
the front of the selection.
To scrub with fine resolution while adding to the
end of a selection:
 Hold the Ctrl/Win+Shift (add)+Com-
mand/Ctrl+Alt/Opt (all) Modifier switches while
scrubbing the end of the selection.
To locate the cursor in the Edit window while in
Continuous Scroll Mode:
 Hold the Command/Ctrl+Opt/Alt
(all)+Ctrl/Win Modifier switches and press the
Mark In or Mark Out switch.
Navigating with the Transport
The Transport switches correspond to the con-
trols in the Pro Tools Transport window: Re-
wind, Fast Forward, Stop, Play, and Record. The
following transport functions are also available:
To latch the transport in Rewind:
 Hold the Rewind switch and press Fast For-
ward.
To latch the transport in Fast Forward:
 Hold the Fast Forward switch and press Re-
wind.
To return the playback cursor to the beginning of
the session:
 Press the RTZ/E switch.
To move the playback cursor to the end of the
session:
 Hold the Option/Alt (all) switch and press the
RTZ/E switch.
Scrubbing Audio in the Edit
Window
To scrub audio in Scrub mode:
1 While Pro Tools is stopped, press the Scrub
switch.
2 Rotate the Scrub/Shuttle wheel clockwise to
scrub audio forward, or counter-clockwise to
scrub audio backward.
3 To exit, press the Scrub switch again.
To latch the Scrub/Shuttle wheel in scrub mode:
 Press the Ctrl/Win Modifier switch momen-
tarily (less than 1/2 second) while turning the
Scrub/Shuttle wheel.
To scrub with fine resolution:
 Hold the Command/Ctrl+Ctrl/Win Modifier
switches while turning the Scrub/Shuttle Wheel.
Scrubbing Without Entering Scrub
Mode
You can use the Scrub/Shuttle wheel to scrub
while the transport is stopped or during play-
back, without entering Scrub mode.
To scrub during playback:
1 Click in a track you want to scrub.
2 Hold the Ctrl/Win Modifier switch while turn-
ing the Scrub/Shuttle wheel.
