Engine Input
The engine input (also called igni on input) can be used to trigger M1 MDT device startup and/or shutdown. The
engine digital input of the device has to be connected to the igni on key, and the AITP setup must be modi ed to
manage this input.
Usually the system shutdown is managed by the user applica on, not directly by the AITP. The applica on can read
the AITP digital inputs status, and when the engine is OFF it can decide to shutdown, following its own logic and hav-
ing all the me to perform a proper logout and disconnec on sequence before issuing the shutdown command to
the AITP.
Alarm
Alarm mode must be enable by setup, and Alarm status is set by the AITP when it detects the Panic/Alarm Input low
for some me. The customer applica on can read the Alarm status, and can do what is required to manage the alarm.
At the end is the customer applica on that has to clear the alarm with a speci c command of the AITP DLL.
The applica on can also set the alarm, not only clear it.
Its possible to setup the AITP so to disable device power o if is in alarm, and if the panic bu on is pressed when the
device is o , than is possible to setup the AITP to turn it on, eventually in Stealth mode.
