Rocker arm shaft assembly (1)
Loosen the rocker arm shaft assembly bolts a little
at a time in numerical sequence as shown in the
figure.

Cylinder head assembly (3)
Loosen the cylinder head bolts a little at a time in
the numerical sequence as shown in the figure.

Flywheel (5)
Loosen the flywheel bolts a little at a time in
numerical sequence as shown in the figure.

Piston assembly (10)
Remove any carbon deposits from the upper part of
the cylinder bore using a scraper.
This will prevent damage to the piston and the
piston rings when they are removed from the
cylinder bore.
Position the piston to the top by turning the
crankshaft, remove the piston assembly from
cylinder using a wooden bar or hammer.
