Why is my Dosmatic Superdos 30 Laboratory Equipment not making a clicking sound?

  If your Dosmatic Laboratory Equipment isn't clicking, several factors could be at play. If fluid is not flowing through the unit, ensure the red plugs at the inlet, outlet, and suction tube fitting openings are removed and that the unit isn't installed backward—the arrow should align with the fluid flow. If it still doesn't click, contact Dosmatic Customer Service. If fluid is flowing, the fluid rate might be outside the injector's rated service flow, or the injector may need to be submerged in room temperature fluid for 24 hours to reabsorb fluid. High operating pressure could also be the cause; consider installing a pressure reducer valve. Check that the On/Off lever is in the ON position and the By-Pass Valve (A) is closed.

Also, check the O-ring retainer #15 for correct installation, and inspect the O-ring seat #14 or dosage piston/gasket for damage, replacing as necessary. A worn or loose #17 O-ring, a cracked, leaking, or clogged suction tube #25 or fitting #11, or a leaking check valve #13 could also be the cause, requiring replacement or cleaning.

Ensure the On/Off lever is in the ON position, and the By-Pass Valve (A) is closed. A dirty or plugged inlet filter may also be the culprit; ensure the mesh size is correct and clean the filter. Finally, #17 might be worn or not seated properly, requiring reseating or replacement.

  If fluid is refilling the solution tank in your Dosmatic Laboratory Equipment, the check valve #13 might be leaking. Inspect the seat area on the suction tube fitting #11, ensuring the check valve and seal fit loosely within. Clean the seal and inside fitting to remove any debris. Alternatively, the washer seal on #13 may be swollen or damaged by chemical attack, in which case you should replace it with a new check valve assembly.
