Classification of medical devices
For reprocessing, medical devices are classified by
application type and the resulting risk:
– Non-critical medical devices: Surfaces
accessible to the user, e.g., compressor, cable
Cleaning and disinfection procedures
The following cleaning and disinfection procedures
are available:
– Manual cleaning and disinfection
Observe the manufacturer's information for the
cleaning and disinfection procedures.
First clean and then disinfect.
Disinfectants
Refer to the country-specific listings for the
disinfectants. The list of the Association for Applied
Hygiene (VAH list) applies for the German-
speaking region.
The composition of the disinfectant is the
responsibility of the manufacturer and can change
over time.
Observe the manufacturer's information for the
disinfectants.
Testing of procedures and agents
The cleaning and disinfection of medical devices
was tested using the following procedures and
agents. At the time of testing, the agent
Buraton 10F from Schülke & Mayr exhibited good
material compatibility and effectiveness.

Use a moist cloth to remove any soiling.
