Model 660 Trouble Shooting Guide
(Mark-II Programmatic Control)
Symptom
(a) Mark-II can not start
(b) Mark-II starts
completely but
can not operate.
(c) Backgauge moves
in high speed, but
low speed can’t be
engage.
(d) Encoder problems.
(e) Backgauge motor
Control is broken.
(f) Power is ON, cutting
light glows, but can’t
start the motor.
(g) When starting the
motor, the run indicator
light glows, but motor
can’t run.
Possible Cause / Correction
1. The clamp doesn’t to top position ,LS-E doesn’t work
(wires SS,UL )
2. The backgauge rear safety switch (LS-E) is broken
(wires M, 25 )
3. The fuse is blown ( fuse 3 )
4. Mark –II programmatic control is out of order
1. Backgauge locking handle does not reset
(wire SS ,RL )
2. The clamp doesn’t return to top position ,
Mark-II can not run (wires SS, RL).
1. Backgauge low speed adjuster is broken (SB)
1. Cut position is incorrect.
2. After calibration the rear position ,backgauge move forward in
high speed, then locked.
3. Backgauge moves forward a section in high speed , then
locked
4. Sunray 2 error will come on
5. If encoder is bad ,if you have more than 1’’ on your cut
size ,check the encoder.
1. When R1,R2 & R3 are activated, sparks are shooting
out of the contacts, or the contacts are melted, the SSR relay is
broken, replace the SSR so it will kill the sparking on the
contacts.
1. Key switch is broken (wires M,3)
2. PLC has no power, PLC doesn’ t work
1. The motor thermal overload is overloaded (OL)
