3. THE CONDITIONAL ACCESS MENU
■ The button gives you access to the Conditional Access menu.
3.1. CONDITIONAL ACCESS
FOR 2CI
The CI-modules sub menu gives all the Information about the CI-module and related smart
card that is inserted. Note that the menu is dynamic which means that it changes with the
type of CI-module and related smart card inserted. The menus for CI-module 1 and 2 are
identical, therefore only an example for CI-module 1 is shown. You can view:
FOR EMBEDDED VIACCESS
The conditional access sub-menu gives all the Information about the smart card that is
inserted. Note that the menu is dynamic which means that it changes with the type of smart
card inserted.
■ Module
Gives information about which CI-module and
related smart card is inserted in CI_slot1.
■ As an example;
this page shows the additional information that is
available from the inserted CI-module and related
smart card.
■ Note that this page can show differently for other CI-
modules and related smart cards.
■ EchoStar has no control over the information
provided by the related service provider, therefor no
specific information is given.
■ Viaccess Embedded
Gives information about which smart card is
inserted in the embedded Viaccess smart card
reader.
