Cleaning reusable TEMP probes:
1 The TEMP probe should not be heated above
100℃ (212℉). It should only be subjected briefly
to temperatures between 80℃ (176℉) and 100℃
(212 ).℉
2 The probe must not be sterilized in steam.
3 Only detergents containing no alcohol can be used
for disinfection.
4 To clean the probe, hold the tip with one hand and
with the other hand rubbing the probe down in the
direction of the connector using a moist lint-free
cloth.
Disinfecting
Clean the pulse oximeter before disinfecting it.
The recommended disinfectants include: ethanol 70%,
isopropanol 70%, glutaraldehyde-type 2% liquid
disinfectants.
