Only the item in c
ontrol can stop the pump. Unless it is in Autorun mode where the STOP
buon on the user interface control panel can stop the pump.
Shut down the pump:
1. Close an
y vacuum system isolaon valve to prevent suck-back into the vacuum
system (where ed). Stop the pump system using the appropriate control source,
that is, press and hold the STOP buon in manual control mode on the user
interface (Figure 2 on page 12 item 3); disable the Start/Stop control input from the
parallel control interface if this was in control; send a Stop command if in serial
control mode or press the STOP buon on the Digital Operator.
2. When the pump is switched o, the fan will connue to run for a short me while
the pump cools down.
3. Vent the pump through the inlet.
4. Isolate the mains supply.
Restart the pump
Note:
If the pump has automacally shut down because of high pump power, check that the
pump is free to rotate before restarng: contact Edwards.
If the pump has been automacally shut down because of an alarm condion, the alarm
condion must be reced be
fore restarng the pump. Restart the pump as described in
Operaon on page 21.
