What to do if there is high pressure during elco AEROTOP T Heat Pump operation?
    • S
      Sandra CalderonAug 15, 2025
If you're experiencing high pressure during the operation of your elco Heat Pump, start by checking the hot water flow, ensuring a temperature difference of 5-10K. Also, verify that the slide valve is open and inspect the non-return and 3-way switching valves. Confirm that the heating or potable water circulation pump is running correctly. If an overflow valve is present, ensure it's properly set. If the heating curve is set too steeply, try lowering it.

What to do if my elco AEROTOP T has a low pressure problem?
    • C
      cramirezAug 18, 2025
If you're encountering a low pressure problem with your elco Heat Pump, begin by checking the thawing function and its sensor. Ensure there's sufficient airflow through the evaporator; clean it if necessary. Remove any ice formation, and clean any dirty ducts or obstructions. Also, inspect the protective grating, adjust fan speed, and check voltage. Measure the temperature difference between the filter dryer input and output, aiming for a maximum of 3 K. If the filter is plugged, consider emptying and refilling the system according to the type plate.

How to fix a thawing problem with my elco AEROTOP T Heat Pump?
    • J
      Jared BoltonAug 26, 2025
If you're having a thawing problem with your elco Heat Pump, check the position of sensor B91 and reposition it properly, or replace it if it's defective. Also, inspect sensor B84 for defects or incorrect positioning, and compare its temperature readings with the actual temperature in all injection pipes. If there's not enough energy for thawing, switch on the electric heating element until the minimum water temperature is reached and close part of the heating circuit. Ensure there is adequate flow rate to the condenser by checking the pumps, return valves, and switch valves.

What causes winding protection compressor issues in elco AEROTOP T Heat Pump?
    • L
      Lynn RiceAug 28, 2025
If your elco Heat Pump is experiencing winding protection compressor issues, it could be due to a phase interruption (compressor gets hot), so check all three phases (wait until the winding protection has cooled, can take several hours). It might also be due to phase reverse (incorrect rotary field), so check the electrical connection. It might also be due to phase loss, so check whether the oil sump heater is working. It might also be due to phase asymmetry, so make sure the rotation is right. Finally, it might also be due to short circuit, so eliminate short circuit.

Why is my elco Heat Pump struggling when starting potable water heating?
    • A
      Amanda McculloughAug 31, 2025
If your elco Heat Pump is having issues when starting potable water heating, first check if the potable water charging pump is running. If not, unblock or replace it. If the three-way valve opens too slowly or not at all, inspect and replace it if needed, and consider extending the flow time of the condenser pump (Parameter 2802). Ensure the water volume is adequate by checking the temperature difference between flow and return (aim for approximately 5-8 K). Vent the system to remove any air. Open the slide valve and check the non-return valve. Ensure that the heat exchange area is adequate. Verify the sensor position and correct it if necessary.

What causes a fan overload in my elco AEROTOP T Heat Pump and how can I fix it?
    • R
      Russell LongSep 4, 2025
If your elco Heat Pump is showing a fan overload error, start by checking the setting of parameter 5700 on LOGON B WP, ensuring it corresponds with the diagram number of an air-water HP (>= 20). If the fan is defective, check the input voltage on terminal E14 (rest contact). For load shedding, inspect the electrical wiring and connections. If necessary, replace the fan.

What should I do if my elco Heat Pump struggles when starting the heating circuit?
    • J
      jonessarahSep 7, 2025
If your elco Heat Pump is experiencing issues when starting HC (Heating Circuit), it might be because the water in the system is too cold (below 10°C). If so, raise the temperature in the system with an electric heating element. Also, make sure to vent the system at the buffer storage.

How to troubleshoot sensor control element configuration issues in elco Heat Pump?
    • M
      mdavisSep 12, 2025
If you're facing a sensor control element configuration issue with your elco Heat Pump, it might be due to unsuitable sensors connected for the given function of the programmable inputs/outputs. Check the sensor assignment. Also, check the programmed function at Qx outputs and the system configuration by means of control numbers.

Why is my elco Heat Pump showing a hot gas compressor error?
    • J
      Jeremy HowardNov 20, 2025
If your elco Heat Pump displays a hot gas compressor error, it could be due to several reasons. The hot gas temperature (B81) might be too high, in which case you should top off the coolant. There might not be enough coolant, in which case you should replace the compressor. A compressor leak might be the cause. Check the temperature difference between the filter drier inlet and outlet (?T max = 3). The filter dryer might be dirty (temperature at the compressor inlet and outlet is practically identical). The non-return valve might be defective (sounds could be heard at the non-return valve). The 4-way valve might be leaking (check the temperature difference between the 4-way valve input inlet and outlet (?T max=5K)). The injection valve might not be working (check injection valve, check pos...
