2.7.3.4 Tone Sweep Mode
If Tone Sweep is selected as the transmitter type in the Setup screen, the step 1 measurement will be performed at each
of the frequencies in the sweep. After this is completed, the instructions for the step 2 measurement setup are
displayed. Once the OK button is pressed, the step 2 measurement will be performed at each of the frequencies in the
sweep once more. While the sweep is active, the current transmit frequency is displayed, as shown in Figure 36.
Pressing the Cancel button will abort the measurement and discard any partial results.
The results screen will not display the longitudinal balance measurement results in sweep mode. These results must
be saved to the USB drive to be viewed on another device. The following measurements are recorded when the Save
button is pressed:
Frequency of the transmitter
Longitudinal Balance in dB

2.7.4 Dialer
2.7.4.1 Overview
The Dialer screen (see Figure 37) allows DTMF or pulse dialing and capture of received DTMF digits. A string of up to 30
digits may be dialed using fixed on and off times for DTMF dialing, or fixed on-hook and off-hook times for pulse dialing.
The ATS-5X microphone may also be used in the Dialer screen to allow voice calls.
