In practise, this means that Lbe external unit becomes ar extension or the MK 8&'‘5B and adds an extra
number of'keys to the keyboard. For example if Me display (17) referring to SIM. I ZONE 5 shews C7 -
(MK88), this means that you have acdod an extra 22 keys to hie Master Keyboard, which arc playable

IMPORTANT: The external instrument must be set to MIDI channel N ei 1 as the IVMDl IN on the
NIK S0/55 receives only on this channel.
To programme the externa SPL I ZONES 5 & 5. proceed as to lows:
1. Set the MIDI channel of the external instrument to MIDI CHANNEL N n L.
2. Press PLAY (21).
3. Press EXT. SPLIT 5 6 (2) and keep it pressed until the display {17) changes to:
