Why I cannot access the Internet with my Encore ENDSL-A2+WIGX2 Modem?
    • A
      alejandro70Aug 15, 2025
First, ensure your Encore Modem is powered on and properly connected to the network. Then, verify your WAN settings and make sure you've entered the correct username and password. If you are using a wireless connection, confirm that both the modem and any wireless stations are using the same ESSID, channel, and WEP keys, especially if WEP encryption is enabled.

How to reset the username and password on my Encore ENDSL-A2+WIGX2 Modem?
    • A
      Adam LoganAug 17, 2025
If you've forgotten the password after changing it, you'll need to upload the default configuration file to erase all custom settings and restore the factory defaults, including the password. Alternatively, press the DEFAULT button for five seconds, then release it. When the ADSL LED begins to blink, the defaults are restored, and the modem restarts. Note that the default username is 'admin' and the default password is 'trendchip', and both are case-sensitive.

What to do if I cannot access the web interface of my Encore ENDSL-A2+WIGX2 Modem?
    • S
      Samuel FlynnAug 21, 2025
First, check that you're using the correct IP address for the Encore Modem. Also, ensure no console session is running. Verify that you've enabled web service access and, if you've configured a secured client IP address, your computer's IP address must match it. For WAN access, configure remote management to allow server access from the WAN. Ensure your computer's and the modem's IP addresses are on the same subnet for LAN access. If you changed the modem's LAN IP address, enter the new one as the URL. Finally, remove any filters in LAN or WAN that block web service.

    • C
      Christine BeckerAug 25, 2025
Ensure the cable connections between the ADSL port and the wall jack are secure, and the ADSL LED on the front panel of the Encore Modem should be lit. Verify that your VPI, VCI, type of encapsulation, and type of multiplexing settings match what you received from your telephone company and ISP. Restart the modem; if issues persist, re-verify these settings with your telephone company and ISP.

Check the telephone wire and connections between the Encore Modem's ADSL port and the wall jack. Make sure that the telephone company has checked your phone line and set it up for ADSL service. You can also try resetting your ADSL line to reinitialize your link to the DSLAM.

Why can't I access the Encore ENDSL-A2+WIGX2 from the LAN or ping any computer on the LAN?
    • J
      Jorge PrestonAug 31, 2025
First, check the Ethernet LEDs on the front panel. A LAN LED should be on for a port that has a PC connected. If it's off, check the cables between your Encore Modem and the PC. Ensure that you have uninstalled any software firewall for troubleshooting. Also, verify that the IP address and subnet mask are consistent between the modem and the workstation.
